My career in six key points
MSc in Astrophysics
I completed my Master’s degree in Astrophysics at the Universidad de La Laguna, a leading institution in astronomy research together with the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias.
Reseach Interests
I study the evolution and dynamics of massive stars, especially in multiple systems, with a particular interest in stellar rotation and its impact in the 3D geometry. My work combines photometric and spectroscopic observations with computer simulations to investigate these complex systems.
Teaching & Supervising
I currently hold a position as Teacher at the Universidad de La Laguna, where I contribute to academic teaching and mentoring. Additionally, I am actively co-supervising a BSc thesis, fostering the new generation of researchers in astrophysics.
Observational Experience
I have conducted extensive observations at the Observatorio del Teide and the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos, gathering more than 116 nights of telescope time.
Code Development
I’m currently developing SPAMMS, a spectroscopic analysis tool designed to incorporate 3D geometry and surface effects to enhance the calculation of synthetic spectra for massive stars. The goal is to provide more realistic models by accounting for phenomena often neglected in traditional 1D approaches.
Projects
I am currently working with the Physical Properties and Evolution of Massive Stars group at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), focusing on stellar rotation and its 3D effects in spectra.
