My observational expertise
More than 100 nights exploring the Universe from world-class facilities

During my academic and research career, I have gained extensive observational experience at some of the world’s most prestigious astronomical facilities. I have conducted observations at both the Observatorio del Teide and the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos—two premier research sites managed by the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC). To date, I have completed over 116 nights of telescope time, contributing to a wide range of projects in photometry and spectroscopy.
Notably, I have worked with several advanced instruments, including:
- CAMELOT2 on the IAC80 Telescope and MuSCAT2 at the Carlos Sánchez Telescope (TCS), where I performed differential photometry to study eclipsing binary systems and exoplanets.
- OSIRIS on the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC), used for medium-resolution spectroscopy essential to study stellar atmospheres.
- IDS on the Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) and ALFOSC & FIES at the Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT), conducting high-resolution spectroscopic observations to derive physical parameters of stellar populations.
My observational duties have encompassed data acquisition, instrument calibration, and real-time adaptation to variable sky conditions. This hands-on experience has been crucial for the successful execution of research projects focused on characterizing massive stars, binary systems, and exoplanets.
