My observational expertise
More than 100 nights exploring the Universe from world-class facilities

During my academic and research career, I have accumulated extensive observational experience across some of the world’s most renowned astronomical facilities. I have conducted observations at both the Observatorio del Teide and the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos, two premier sites for astrophysical research managed by the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC). Over the years, I have completed more than 116 nights of telescope time, contributing to numerous projects in photometry and spectroscopy.
Notably, I have worked with a range of advanced instruments such as:
- CAMELOT2 on the IAC80 Telescope and MuSCAT2 at the Carlos Sánchez Telescope (TCS), where I carried out differential photometry for the study of eclipsing binaries.
- OSIRIS on the Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC), employed for medium-resolution spectroscopy critical to understanding stellar atmospheres.
- IDS on the Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) and ALFOSC&FIES at the Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT), for low-resolution spectroscopic observations of stellar populations to obtain their physical parameters.
My observational responsibilities have included data acquisition, instrument calibration, and real-time adaptation to changing sky conditions. This hands-on experience has been essential for the successful execution of various research projects, including the characterization of massive stars, binary systems, and exoplanets.
